Piano Lesson Moment

Dear Nanny Station Patrons,

As the founder of The Nanny Station, I bring a balanced combination of academic training, professional experience, and lived understanding to the work I do with families. I hold two degrees in both education and sociology, with a concentration in business administration, which heightens my understanding of the value of an educated nanny, along with managing family dynamics and the structured way I operate this service.

My background includes four years as a lead preschool teacher and over ten years as a private nanny, supporting families across a wide range of caregiving environments and needs. In addition to my professional work, I am also a mother, and I understand firsthand the importance of finding care that feels both reliable and aligned with a family’s values.

I believe in being a genuine advocate for children, supporting their development with intention, consistency, and care, while recognizing the broader systems that help families thrive.

                                                                    With Love,

                                                                    The Nanny Station Founder

Our Approach

At The Nanny Station, our work is grounded in intention, structure, and trust. We understand that selecting in-home childcare is a meaningful decision, especially for families navigating complex schedules, evolving needs, or layered support systems.

Our role is to thoughtfully connect families with vetted caregivers through a referral-based placement process that prioritizes alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making. We approach every placement with care, professionalism, and respect for the family’s broader support network or lack there-of.

The following questions outline how our service works and clarify our role within the caregiving process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “referral-based” mean?

Referral-based means families receive thoughtfully vetted caregiver options along with guidance throughout the placement process. We focus on alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making, while families retain full authority over hiring, scheduling, and day-to-day care.

Do you employ the caregivers you refer?

The Nanny Station operates as a professional referral and placement service. While caregivers are not our employees, each candidate is carefully screened, interviewed, and reviewed through our internal process before being introduced to families. Families ultimately hire caregivers directly and manage the employment relationship.

Can you support families with diverse or complex care needs?

Yes. We regularly support families with a wide range of caregiving needs. Some caregivers in our network have experience supporting children with diverse developmental, behavioral, or medical profiles. Availability varies, and we work closely with families to understand preferences and identify appropriate matches when possible.

Do you provide therapy, clinical care, or case management?

No. The Nanny Station is not a clinical or therapeutic provider. Our role is to support families by identifying and referring in-home caregivers, while respecting and working alongside any medical, therapeutic, or educational professionals already involved in a child’s care.

Do you guarantee caregiver outcomes?

While no placement service can guarantee outcomes, our process is designed to reduce risk and improve alignment through thorough screening, clear expectations, and ongoing post-placement support. Our goal is to provide families with trusted options and the information they need to move forward with confidence.
